Antenna Base / Brushing from a V60
(Easy guide to how one person fixes a V60's
antenna after it
has been bent, broken, or just all chewed up)
Note: The following shows how one person removed the Motorola
V60g's antenna base. Do not interpret the following as instructions
in removing your Motorola V60's antenna base / brushing. You
should be comfortable with figuring it out yourself if you are doing it
yourself. When in doubt, get help from a qualified person. We are not
responsible for any damages done to your phone or to yourself.
Note:
If your phone is under warranty, get it fixed by Motorola since
taking the phone apart will likely void your warranty.
1)
Get a new antenna base / brushing. If you do not already have one, order one here. You will also
need a T6 torx screwdriver and a small prying tool. You can find
one here.

Remove the battery back cover and the battery from the phone.
3)
Remove the four screws using a Torx T6 screwdriver. Be careful
with the screws. They are small and easy to lose.
4)
Carefully pull the two retaining arms away to reveal the two tabs
circled in red. These tabs are holding the circuit board in
place. Carefully push these tabs in to release the circuit
board.
5)
Lay the circuit board on one side. You will not be working with it.

Remove the retaining bracket by lifting to the two ends on the
left. The right side will pivot out. lay it on the side.
